Review of Rogue (2007) by Mike D — 20 Aug 2010
Bit disappointed with the way this one panned out. It started well, good build up, introducing each of the characters, before trapping them on an island with a killer croc circuling them. The first attack was a major let down, as you didn't even see it happen.
It improved slightly during the middle and did keep me intrigued, but then it ended with half the group managing to flee the island, never to be seen again until the very end where they were rescued along with a couple of other survivors.
It's like the director couldn't be bothered to film any more action scenes, so just cut short the movie. It's a pity because this had the potential to be quite good, but looking back on what happened, there weren't too many memorable moments overall, just a lot of suspense and tension, which never materailised into anything worthwhile.
