Review of Rogue (2007) by C C B — 02 Feb 2012
The best in its genre after Jaws, way better than Piranha and Deep Blue Sea and the reason behind its success is that it focuses less on the killer animal and more on the mood and psychology of the human beings and their reactions, just like Jaws did.
. All actors, including side-kicks deliver a good performance (even though I was shocked to see Worthington die so quickly), and the surprise twist (it was stunning to see that animal-hater tourist writer the hero at the end, instead of Worthington) and decent direction with beautiful Aussie landscapes makes this movie a surprise hit in my opinion.
Well done! 8.5/10.
