Review of Rogue (2007) by Jez M — 08 Jan 2013
As a genre film, Rogue is beautifully constructed and masterful at building and sustaining tension. The set pieces are led up to believably, and the imagery is striking. To my mind however, the best genre films use the form to tell a wider story.
That may not have been Rogue's goal, but that lack of ambition perhaps limits the praise I feel I can give.
