Review of Rogue (2007) by Mark — 31 Aug 2008
This was a real surprise of a film. A friend asked me if I wanted to watch a movie about a giant crocodile and I thought it would be some terrible CGI crap fest. Quite the opposite. The film starts off looking like an episode of "Planet Earth" with lush beautiful scenery, then the giant crocodile comes into play and it becomes quite suspenseful.
The movie has great pacing and the characters are believable. There's some gore, but it's not overdone, and the croc looks amazing - some of the best practical and CG work I've seen. Highly recommended (if the idea of a giant crocodile attacking tourists appeals to you).
