Review of Roger & Me (1989) by Peter A — 10 Jul 2008
Not as great as its made out to be, there is an enormous amount of superfluous material. This stuff is passed off as a realistic details of day-to-day blue collar existence or some kind of contrast but much of it is simply self-indulgent.
Still, the point comes across clearly. And each successive film since this has been tighter and more insightful. No matter how much my parents dislike him, Moore is hard to argue with. That's why my parents don't watch.
