Review of Roger & Me (1989) by David O — 11 Feb 2011
An interesting perspective of how one man was able to disassemble an entire community by removing its primary job creator and founder company. While I assume that Roger Smith never truly intended to destroy the prosperity and good jobs of Flint Michigan by moving General Motors plants south of the boarder, the outcome was staggering.
You hear about the loss of jobs and companies on the news every day but this movie really captures the fallout and aftermath of a community devastated by the loss.
