Review of Roger & Me (1989) by Budda F — 11 Feb 2004
Another old favorite from the video-renting days, this still has all the impact it carried back in the day. It's perhaps even more poignant, because the same situations exist to this day all over the Rust Belt.
I can't decide which character I like in this story. They're all so compelling - the rabbit lady ("for pets or for meat?"), the Amway color analyzing lady, Deputy Fred.
Having watched Bowling for Columbine not too long ago, it's interesting to see how much respect Michael Moore has gained. Now that people know who he is and how much influence he has, he is harder to turn away and ignore.
