Review of Rocky V (1990) by Alex P — 16 Jan 2010

I really liked this one, kinda surprised to see such poor reviews. Without having seen the latest one, I think this was a good way for the series to end. Sure there's no major bout, but it made the story better to see Rocky to have to make the transition from fighter to trainer.

The stuff with his son was great because it also showed him having to become more of a father. Sure this is a step away from the fighting stuff, but it only seemed natural. I did miss Carl Weathers because he put in such great performances in the previous films, but it was nice to see Burgess Meredith, even if only in a borderline cheesy scene.
