Review of Rocky V (1990) by Jeff B — 15 Feb 2011
Pretty bad Rocky film that has a dull story that struggles to be stretched into a feature film. I think the reason this failed so much is because it didn't have Rocky fighting another evil guy, instead he's just a loser fighter who doesn't pay attention to his son and tries to train the bad guy.
Pointless and laughable cameo by Burgess Meredith doesn't help either. Oh, and another reason this didn't work is because both Burgess and Apollo aren't there to help Rocky (well, ghost Burgess is, but still).
Too much time focused on Rocky Jr., this was just a movie that shouldn't have been made.
