Review of Rocky V (1990) by Jesse T — 08 Mar 2013
One can tell by Rocky V, Stallone really didn't seem to be that involved. It just seemed like he thought by hiring Avildsen as director, the film would automatically be on par wit the original. While Rocky being a mentor to a younger fighter is a potentially good idea, Rocky V did not execute this properly.
The street fight at the end just seems tacked on in order to have Rocky see some action.
