Review of Rocky V (1990) by Dean M — 26 Oct 2011
Although universally panned, I think Rocky has somewhat redeemed himself after Rocky IV. There is a half decent plot here and thankfully Rocky does actually retire. Mickey also makes a return and we get to walk down memory lane as Rocky returns to his roots.
The music is disappointing for once. In a vain attempt to make it contemporary, it has sadly come off very dated.
The worst part though (apart from his acting) is Tommy Gunn's mullet.
A return to form for the Italian Stallion but nowhere near the brilliance of the first two movies.
