Review of Rocky IV (1985) by Matt M — 15 Dec 2013
This Rocky is certainly different from all the other ones. It's got a wafer thin plot, and the cheesy audacity to use the character of Rocky and his expedition in the Soviet Union cold boxer Drago as a metaphor for the cold war.
More than that, this is a true film of the MTV era, with the flashy soundtrack and the almost total reliance in montage that gives the film a fresh and strangely appealing look.
