Yes its cheesy, yes it was less well received than the first 3 in the franchise and yes it isnt going to win any oscars.

But in my opinion its the best in the franshise, in certain cases I dont review films on the acting quality or the freshness of the script, I review films on the ability to get me on my feet or on the edge of my seat.

This film is the most thrilling of the series in my opinion, the boxing scenes are the most unrealistic of the series but there is no doubt in my mind they are the best of the series. The training scenes also are the best of the series and get you excited.

The acting is cheezy but Dolph Lungdren suprisingly delivers a hell of a performance as does Stallone.

Lets not forget that this was a popular film in the 80's, up until 2009 this was the highest grossing sports film of all time. The Blind Side grossed I believe a mere 7 million higher than Rocky IV, though when adjusted for inflation Rocky IV towers above.
