Review of Rocky III (1982) by Paige J — 22 Nov 2009
With each sequel a new issue in Rocky's life is explored. This time Rocky is on top, he's been that way for the past 3 years and has lost the hunger he once had for the win. Mickey is partly to blame for that, but carrying him for the last couple years, but now this has angered a top contender, who is constantly blown off for a championship match. His name is Clubber Lang, played by the ever intimidating Mr. T.
The cast from the prvious films are back, including the score master himself Bill Conti. Sylvester Stallone has also managed to give the film a whole makeover with his characters makeover. This time we are shown how much of a icon and success the films have been, with music by Survivor(David Bickler). And segmants from Sesame Street shrown through the credits.
Not too mention Hulk Hogan himself making a cameo.
4 out of 5 stars.

Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger" was used as Hulk Hogan's entrance theme when he returned to the WWF. This was before Rick Derringer's "Real American" was used.
The Rocky Statue, although a prop was used as a tourist attraction for years right in front of the Philadelphia Museum, up until a few years ago. However, the statue can still be seen in the South area of the museum outside.
