Review of Rocky III (1982) by Paul D — 17 Apr 2011
Rocky III takes on a different angle of story as once again he takes on a challenger for the world title before he hangs up his gloves and retires. With the help of his ageing trainer and manager, Mickey he confronts Clubber Lang played by Mr.
T. Unfortunately for Rocky his thoughts screw with his head after some truths Mickey mentions and Mickey himself having a heart attack and passing away. For the first time Rocky becomes afraid to fight.
Luckily for him the help of his wife, Paulie and new trainer Apollo Creed for support, Rocky learns a new style and gets his mind around the task at hand to re-match against Clubber. Brilliant fight scenes and tense atmosphere and Stallone at his best again, in the ring.
Similar layout as the previous Rocky movies but everytime there is a difference and worth another sequel.
