Review of Rocky III (1982) by David S — 25 Apr 2009
This and part IV are probably the most entertaining Rocky films. You've got to love this for the pure absurdity of seeing Rocky take on Hulk Hogan and Mr T. Classic! The fights are pretty impressive in this one, with Rocky using the same tactic that Ali used on Foreman to finally beat his opponent.
A shame that Mickey had to die but his scenes are handled well, his death is a bit of a choker and it's cool to see Rocky and Apollo as friends. As pure entertainment goes it doesn't get much better than this.
