Review of Rocky III (1982) by True Dirt F — 01 Feb 2011
This is where the Rocky series goes seriously downhill. Now this film does have some redeeming qualities. Its entertaining to see Rocky and Apollo team up. Mickey dying is also a nice twist. Mr. T is comical.
Thats it for the good aspects. The rest is simply more of the same of what we have seen from the earlier films. By this 3rd movie Rocky is no longer an underdog we are simply watching him maintain his position as world champion.
That is nowhere near as entertaining as seeing him rise up from being an underdog. Overall its a weak sequel.
