Review of Rocky II (1979) by Daryl K — 26 Feb 2013
Plays out like a righting of what film audiences might have expected from the first 'Rocky' if that picture were done with typical Hollywood conventionality. Therefore, maybe 'Rocky II' is more pleasing to some who like the familiar, but it's always felt pandering and anti-climactic to me.
The characters are still engaging and generally well-performed.
