Review of Rocky Balboa (2006) by Al G — 08 Apr 2012
I enjoyed the film and found it quite entertaining. It basically stood as the epilogue to the life of Rocky Balboa. Milo Venti miglia gives a solemn yet stirring performance as Rocky's son. (Milo is better known these days as Peter Petrelli on the hit TV show "HEROES") The film takes us back to square one with the Rock (sans Adrian), where he came from "in the neighborhood.
" This ending (?) to the "Rocky" series culminates in the 360 degree turn of a boxers life--from his humble beginnings, his struggles through boxing wars midway all the way to his "one last shot" finale and final/last hoorah.
Although ever so slightly predictable at turns,it is enjoyable and brings back fond memories.
