When I first heard of this I was just expecting a rubbish throwaway sequal but surprisingly this is actually a really powerful movie and the best Rocky movie one sice the origional. Rocky is usually known for having a really positive personality, so when you see him broken up over Adrian's death and the distanced relationship with his son, you really feel bad for him.
His motives for wanting to return to the ring actually feel understandable and even the fight at the end is really good to watch.
