Review of Rocky Balboa (2006) by Dean M — 22 Nov 2011

After a shaky start walking down memory lane, Rocky Balboa turns out to be an emotional and satisfying return to the ring. Apart from Burt Young as Paulie, the usual support cast have gone, but Sly proves that he can still hold his own. For me the fight itself was a bit of a non event. The plot was interesting enough and the fight became the usual sideshow.

Rocky wins, Rocky loses, who cares? After six movies I have thoroughly enjoyed the ride and now feel satisfied that all loose ends have been tied up after the questionable end to Rocky V.
