Review of Rocky (1976) by Hunter L — 06 Dec 2015
While it has not aged very well (the theme song has the worst lyrics I've ever heard), it's predictable and uneven, and some of its performances are a glaring reflection of its time and budget, Rocky is still a relentlessly charming, triumphant underdog story that earns its status as a classic.
Stallone carries the film with a phenomenal performance as a sympathetic, relatable every man.
