Review of Rocky (1976) by Geraldo G — 29 Jan 2013
A master piece. The classic story of a very lucky boxer with a unique opportunity makes Rocky simplty the movie that redifined the word "motivation". The cast is perfect, each feels like the character they perform.
Each character develops and evolves, giving a satisfactory storytelling, without forgetting any key character. The music by Bill Conti is dark and shine, also fitting, and the Rocky Theme "Gonna Fly Now" is in the best scene and most iconic: the training, perfectionating the scene.
The story is predictible, but the developing is unique. Each shot is accompanied by the right light and much dark, giving the film the correct tone to go on. Overall, the final product is perfectly crafted and concieved, starting the Rocky saga, ready to go all the way.
