Review of Rocky (1976) by David L — 03 Sep 2014
Rocky is at this point entirely predictable and cliched, but it is nonetheless a pleasant film with involving story, thrilling score, some charming moments, solid drama as well as Stallone's quite good acting and character which is surprisingly likable.
It is a nice little film, but it is also a head-scratching choice for Best Picture by the Academy over excellent Network and not to mention Scorsese's masterpiece Taxi Driver.
