Review of Rocky (1976) by Angelo M — 15 Sep 2014
If you can get passed the somewhat akward pacing and cutting, this is one of the best films ever made. The story itself is anything but a classic. And the score is nothing but absolute brilliance. Bill Conti shows his prowess as one of the best film composers of all time.
Stallone has written characters that you can relate to, and a story that is not only a feel good sports story, but a story full of inspiration. Just pure inspired writing. And that's what this movie is, inspired brilliance.
