Review of Rocky (1976) by Matthew B — 21 Nov 2015
"Rocky" is one of my favorites, and really don't have too much to talk about it. I don't know what is my favorite boxing movie, but don't need to go into that. This is one of Sylvester Stallone's best roles, and really is Rocky Balboa.
The rest of the cast are just perfect in their own right. The fight scene at the boxing match is well choreographed, while Bill Conti's music is completely unforgettable, and John G. Avildsen's direction is fantastic.
The cinematography is incredibly well shot, and I really love the underdog story of a man who is wanting to go the distance. I love "Rocky," and it will always be a classic. If you never seen this movie, then I highly recommend that you give this movie a shot.
