A fantastic sporting film about amateur boxer Rocky Balboa (Stallone) who gets the unexpected call to challenge Apollo Creed for the heavyweight title. Not only does he look to win the fight for the title but also for the fight for the heart of Adrian (Shire), a shy pet shop worker.
This is a film full of soul and a feel good factor which is one of the true legends of film which set a very high bar for sport based films. Stallone does brilliantly and no wonder it was nominated for so many Oscars.
