Review of Rocky (1976) by Yash B — 10 Jun 2016

"Rocky" is a movie I respect simply because it essentially inspired every boxing movie we have had since then. Some of it can feel dated, especially the actual boxing scenes. The movie is very character driven and it chooses to give you bits and pieces of Rocky's life that you have to put together.

If this movie came out today, I might've called it predictable, but considering it was released 40 years ago, I give it props for setting the standard of an underdog sports movie.
