Review of Rockstar (2011) by Abdullah Y — 14 Nov 2011
It is too long for its own good, and the second half is very weak. A Very promising debut from newcomer Nargis Fakhri who was good especially in the non dramatic scenes, but in my opinion the weakest performance form Ranbir Kapoor who is usually charismatic and great, but not in this film.
The first half was really good, and the songs are great. It is a visually stunning film, but the story is conventional and thin, and the film can easily be trimmed and lose 40 to 45 min without losing any of its artistic value.
