Review of Rocks in My Pockets (2014) by Jane W — 06 Aug 2015
It's a very powerful confessional film. Signe Baumane goes through the history of her family to find the roots of her own psychological problems. She goes deeper and deeper, calls things by their proper names, analyses the history of her family and of her country, finally draws a film not only to express herself, but also to help people with such problems to understand themselves and to give them a great hope in the fight with their disease.
Finally film appears to be very life-asserting, vital, optimistic. Thank you for this job! It's certainly worth watching.
