Review of RocknRolla (2008) by Quecuatzl K — 31 Jan 2010
Wow. Guy Ritchie has lost his edge, and he should accept that and stop trying to make these damned "gangster" movies. The first hour is inconceivably dull, and all these little technical "details" are delivered constantly through dialogue via flashbacks. He's also adopted this grating voiceover that plagued "revolver" as well, all the whip pans in the world can't cover the fact there is wayy too much going on.
The only highlight is the performance of Tony Kebbell as the junkie rock star. That and an awesome soundtrack. Other than that, AWFUL.
