Review of Rocket Science (2007) by Anya S — 18 Mar 2008
If you're looking for another movie revolving around the singling out a a certain struggling high school youth than Rocket Science certainly fits the mold. However, instead of a super confused preggo teen we have a stuttering, scrawny hopeful debater to root for.
The movie can feel a bit eccentric and most of the high schoolers are almost too stereotypical to be taken seriously but in the end its hard not cheer on poor used, abused and unwanted Hal. Don't expect too much and you can definitely find yourself happily invested in this short but sweet indy flick.
