Review of Rocket Science (2007) by Ralph R — 08 Apr 2008

Rocket Science is a very peculiar little movie which plays by its own rules, and I respect it for that. I also am frustrated and put off by the film for these same reasons. It becomes annoying at times in its refusal to follow conventions, like plot or interesting material which makes any kind of sense.

There is neither a climax nor any sort of traditional resolution, but that sort of works here. Sort of. It felt like the longest student short film I'd ever seen. But I did dig the soundtrack, so even though I can't really put into words my feelings about the movie, I can say that the music kicks ass.
