Review of Rocket Science (2007) by Mike D — 25 Apr 2010
I found this to be an incredibly painful movie, not due to it lacking any quality whatsoever, but rather because its scathing depiction of adolescence hit a bit too close to home. I wanted to like it more.
It also sort of falls into the category of quirky high school comedy, a la Juno, Thumbsucker, Rushmore, or Napoleon Dynamite, but I really found it to be more brutal than any of those other films.
