I haven't heard any advertisements for this movie but happened upon this when I was looking at what was on this last weekend. I was working in the Middle East which includes, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan.

When I was in Afghanistan it looked like what the film portrayed but a little big over the top in some situations, like at the bar... There are no bars there and the only place to get liquor is at the Embassy, unless you go through the black market.

But overall I enjoyed the movie and also the music. I do not know why so many people didn't like this movie... It actually had some funny scenes in it along with what is happening to that country.

I did enjoy the last song that featured "Peace Train" and how it refers to Afghanistan and how the people there really need that kind of philosophy.
