Review of Rock the Kasbah (2015) by Arun G — 28 Jan 2016

The strong cast, led by Bill Murray and supported by Bruce Willis, Zooey Deschanel, Kate Hudson, Leem Lubany, Danny McBride, and Scott Caan look largely uninterested in playing out their respective roles.

All supporting characters are underdeveloped and appear like extended cameos in a screenplay that tries out every cliché in the book. The focus shift from Murray's character to the Afghan singer never really happens, making this film a pretty underwhelming one as it nears the predictable climax.
