Review of Rock the Kasbah (2015) by Jay's D — 13 Mar 2016

Rock the Kasbah is a dull and painfully unfunny film that wastes the talent of a good cast. Bill Murray is good in the lead role. The rest of the cast, including Kate Hudson and Bruce Willis, was serviceable.

There weren't any bad performances, but nothing spectacular. That is about the only positive thing I can say about the movie. The film is not at all funny. Half of the time either the joke fell flat, or the joke was nonexistent.

The storyline was boring and dragged on. The plot only starts to kick in about an hour into the film. The film was aggressively unentertaining. This is a disappointment from director Barry Levinson. I strongly disliked this laugh free comedy.
