Review of Rock Star (2001) by Immortal D — 29 Feb 2008
Very well done. Good story.
Being a metal fan and a huge Judas Priest fan I was wary at first about seeing this. Then I was told that the film, for the most part, changed direction after the rights to the original story fell through. I decided to give it a go.
The music here is top notch. I borrowed the OST CD from a friend to listen to the entire tracks. Blood Pollution being the best IMO.
Aside from Dominic West none of the other members of the band had much dialog which is the films only shortcoming.
Timothy Spall who played Mats, the road manager was the most interesting character in the film.
