Rock of Ages is a decent, watchable musical. It's got a good soundtrack and the whole rock 'n' roll setting is brilliant but it's got a plot that's thinner than a wafer and can be predicted from a mile away.
The star cast is likable with the likes of Alex Baldwin, Zeta-Jones, Russell Brand and Tom Cruise. It's run-time is a good 15 minutes longer than it should be and the middle portions seem stagnant.
It's not the kind of movie you'd like to see more than once.
