The only thing preventing this from being an awful movie is the performance by Tom Cruise, who single-handedly saves it from obscurity and major suckage!
I wanted to like it but from the opening number it was apparent the movie was in trouble.
The choreography on 75% of the musical numbers is plain wrong and certain actors should not have been allowed to sing.
I'm certain as a Broadway show it was electrifying to watch but as a movie, all I can offer is a "skip it". Instead, watch old 80's pop, rock, and metal videos instead. You'll be more entertained.
