Review of Rock of Ages (2012) by Steve T — 30 Aug 2013
I had to take a rape shower after watching this movie. The retrofitting of rock songs into the dialog of a musical may have worked once for Moulon Rouge, but this failed miserably. There were times when I thought this was a comedy, but it turns out this is nothing but a montage of expensive stars performing really cheesy horrible 80's music videos.
The REO Speedwagon "I can't fight this feeling any longer" scene between Russell Brand and Alec Baldwin would have worked as a SNL sketch. Oh, and this will go down in history as Tom Cruise's "Showgirls.
