There are plenty of really good things about this movie. Tom Cruise was fantastic. Alec Baldwin and Russell Brand were both really good. A number of over the top scenes but it's not enough to keep me entertained during the whole thing.
The really bland love story, glee-esc covers, so little really going on. If it would have went bigger, and meet the fun ridiculousness without trying to stretch 30 minutes of plot into a 2 hour movie, this could have been fantastic.
Too much is bogging this down. If you like a good train wreck, this one is for you.
