Review of Rock of Ages (2012) by Angie I — 27 Jun 2016
I thought it would be a lot of stage performances, not a musical. omg that was too much singing!
I feel bad for julianne hough. every single person sang better than her. gosh that disney pop voice of hers!! then she sang with mary j. blige. good grief. poor girl. top billing and every single scene I was dreading her next song.
On another note: all the songs were good choices!! i'm considering getting the soundtrack.
I loved russell brand, alec baldwin, and catherine zeta jones.
Surprisingly enough, tom cruise rocked it. I honestly couldn't have called that. tom cruise's tattoos were killer!! I wanna get those 6 shooters lol.
I was a little disappointed that don't stop believing was the 'featured song'. the first time was good but they could've ended on something better than that.
It's really a lot of fun but I had to take off for hough's singing voice and the predictable plot.
