Review of Rock Around the Clock (1956) by Christopher B — 27 Jun 2013
Fun flick that loosely portrays some of how rock and roll came to the forefront of popular music. The artists may be lip-synching, but that doesn't take away from the classiness - and Allan Freed plays himself!! Bonus! Several full songs are well filmed with both the bands and the *crazy* dance moves featured.
The rest of the film mirrors the business side of a budding new slant within the music business. The more things change....
