Review of Rock-A-Doodle (1991) by James S — 02 May 2010

Don Bluth must've started production of this dumb movie after getting hypnotized by Woody Woodpecker. WTF happened to Don Bluth?! The plot is nonsensical and it would be considered The Wizard of Oz and Don Bluth mixed together in a blender. Further more, Edmund is an extremely lame character in the movie. He's pointless and has nothing to do with the plot whatsoever! Besides, What happened during the scene where the sun came up without Chanticleer crowing?! How the Fu...Ok...I'll make my own reason:

"The sun that rose up without Chanticleer singing was actually the Angry Sun from the Mario series. Why? Because the Angry Sun was pissed about the dumb rooster making everyone happy by singing and the Angry Sun was so jealous of the huge popularity of Mario!! So he concealed his angry face, disguised himself as a real sun, showed up in the farm, and turned the fucking rooster into a Elvis impersonator!" (The Nostalgia Critic's reason makes more sense.).

There! Fucking Problem Solved! Why couldn't you explain to us, Don?! Further more, this movie is forgettable and extremely nonsensical and stupid. If you ask me, here's what happened to Don Bluth in 1991:

He was so pissed off at the box-office of The Little Mermaid that he became depressed, drank gallons of beer, and watched Howard the Duck or cartoons from the 30s while getting drunk at the same time. That disease he got after watching Howard the Duck caused him to make 4 under-rated and utterly stupid $hitstoppers:

Rock-A-Doodle.

Thumbelina.

A Troll in Central Park.

The Pebble and the Penguin.

It's sad to see a critically acclaimed animator fall down. :(.
