Review of Rocco and His Brothers (1960) by Guilherme C — 17 Jun 2007
I like neo-realism, totally drawn to italian neo-realism in the 60s. I remember vividly the long scene when the brothers wake up, eat bread, and set out to work in milan covered w/ inches of snow... from the train station to the rooftop of duomo, eventho the story can be depressin, milan simply looks so enchanting under Visconti's capture.
My other fav scene? the break-up of rocco & nadia on top of Duomo!! of course!!!! I cried n cried n cried n cried!!!!
