Review of Robot Overlords (2015) by Paul D — 02 Mar 2016
Well written and executed by the actors makes this a very believable film. The strong cinematography captures the essence of the situation magnificently making for a entertaining hour and a half. The film is realistic with more actuality as it deals with family and collaborators.
One is reminded of WWII war films with a deeper twist. British slap stick comedy is revealed in all its glory with plenty of tongue in cheek moments. As one of the actors puts it - running around blowing things up, well sick.
It turned out to be a very worthwhile film to watch, suitable for the whole family. The depth of the acting, especially Gillian Anderson puts most big spend blockbusters to shame, as does the quality of the robots and spaceships etc.
The locations are also exceptional and worth seeing this movie for the view. Nibbles: Iced fruit cake.
