This movie is awesome! when I was a kid I really remember liking this one but had trouble finding it again till last fall. giant robots operated by the states best warriors in an obvious parallel to the cold war conflict, that was wrapping up around the time this movie was made.

the animated robot stuff was great and some of the best of the late 80's era (even though this is a 1990 film). the fighting is cool, shooting things, crashing around and, at one point, jumping from planet to planet.

one of the best of all robot movies I have seen, it would've been nice if the sequel was more like this. watch this movie if you like robots, embrace 80's special effects and want to see a decent flick.
