Review of Robot Chicken: Star Wars (2007) by Lucius M — 09 Nov 2008
If you love Star Wars, you will adore this short parody. It is a stop-motion animated film (where they animate "dolls") with very slapstick and campy humor a-la the first Star Wars spoof, "Hardware Wars.
" And there are tons of "inside" jokes that only Star Wars fans can get a belly laugh from, such as a telephone call into Emperor Palpatine's office from Darth Vader, informing him that the first Death Star had been destroyed; or an annoying Jar Jar Binks calling Darth Vader "Ani.
" I almost wished the film was longer (it was only about 30 mins). There were a few "off-color" comments and some language, so this may not be appropriate for children. This was pretty funny, especially if you like Star Wars!
