Review of Robot & Frank (2012) by Adnan A — 05 Jul 2013
Robot & Frank feels like a genuine though less than spectacular little movie. The story is brought alive by some moody cinematography and music as well as a range of recognizable actors.
The narrative is quite straightforward but carries just the right amount of emotional weight as it brisk through its running time. The fact that the film's short length never makes the story feel rushed is a testament to its compact script.
Langella's likeable performance and the vast amount of deadpan humor hit the right notes for me; elevating the indie film significantly.
Overall, I found Robot & Frank quite amusing and will gladly re-watch it.
